Vainglorious: A Celestial Reflection

Vainglorious showcases my contemplation of the relationship between angels and our creative evolution. Inviting viewers to reflect on the significance of angels as agents of transformation, muses that gather to support our emergence into our truest selves.

The idea is, that in the act of creation we appease the angels, allowing them to assist us through art in bridging the gap between our conscious and unconscious selves.

Jung reminds us that “the self is the total of the field of the unconscious,” and through our artistic processes, we may illuminate our shadows, eventually manifesting creations that resonate with light and beauty, much like the angels themselves.

The artwork’s intricate details, juxtaposing black and white with radiant gold accents, serve as a visual metaphor for the dance between vainglory and humility.
